Blackstone Chambers and Guy Fox History Project

The Guy Fox team has been a proud charity partner of Blackstone Chambers since 2012. In that time, we’ve collaborated on a number of educational projects, involving scores of volunteers and hundreds of pupils, which have resulted in five books that have been distributed FREE to 30,000 readers across the world. It’s a partnership characterised by expertise and serious fun, which has made a huge impact on everyone who has been involved.

In our latest collaboration, we have explored and explained the Constitution of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland! Because our Constitution isn’t written down in one document, it can seem complicated and confusing. This book helps to set the record straight. Created in partnership with Blackstone Chambers and children from Tower Bridge Primary School and launched in May 2024.

'How the World REALLY Works: Our Legal System' Book Cover
Our Legal System book gives you an overview of the Legal System of England & Wales, what it does, how it developed, how it works and the people who are involved. This title is available from Guy Fox Direct and is also on Apple Books! Created in partnership with Blackstone Chambers, Olswang (now part of CMS) and children from John Donne Primary School. Launched in June 2013.
Our Magna Carta book marked the 800th anniversary of the 'Charter of Liberties' and explains its impact on the legal system in the UK and on human rights around the world. This title is available from the Guy Fox Direct and is also on Apple Books! Funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund. Blackstone volunteers supported the project and Lord Pannick hosted the launch event at the House of Lords in April 2015.
'History Rocks: Women in Law' Book Cover
Our Women in Law book marked the 100th anniversary of the law that permitted women to become solicitors, barristers and judges; and it celebrates a century of legal history! This title is available from Guy Fox Direct and is also on Apple Books! Created in partnership with Blackstone Chambers and children from Snowsfields Primary School. Launched in December 2019.
