Summary: The
Guy Fox History Project receives a grant from the South East
London Community Foundation to fund our Studio Workshops 2004. 2005
Summary: We devote a lot of time in 2005 developing our organisation
and securing its future. The Board of Trust decides to establish a trading
company, Guy Fox Limited, which will donate all its profits
to the Guy Fox History Project and help it sustain its
educational work. 2006 Summary: In January, we publish the London Children's Map, which sells like hotcakes at museum shops and through our commercial website. Our first commercial publication, it sells out completely, so we update it and publish the 2nd edition! We begin a Guy Fox Advisory Team (Guy Fox A-Team), and we recruit children from Southwark to help us develop new ideas for projects. In March, we work with St. Jude's Primary School to create a Waterloo Neighbourhood History Map.In May, we work with local children on a Children's Guide to the GLA, which is our most inventive publication yet! It features both the architecture of City Hall (designed by Norman Foster) AND information about the inner workings of the Greater London Authority. Although it's meant for children, plenty of adults read it for their own edification. In June, we hold "Draw What You See!" Workshops at Tower Bridge Exhibition. Guy Fox® artists help visitors draw the view from Tower Bridge. Drawings can be viewed at TowerBridgeFacts.co.uk. In September, we publish INTERNET ABCs with Guy Fox, an illustrated guide to the internet and distribute free copies to local families. The guide is available commercially, or as an online resource [CLICK HERE]. In November, students from St Jude's Primary School participate in our Monument Workshops, hiking the 311 steps to the top of the Monument and creating illustrations for the Monument website. << Publications details >> 2007 Summary: Erste Bank gives us a kind donation, which starts the year on a high note! With their donation, we start the Guy Fox® Family Newsletter, which details family-friendly activities and educational opportunities and is distributed to 5,000 families across London just in time for school holidays. Our evaluation with users shows that 100% of the respondents visited a new museum or did something new as a result of the Family Newsletter. We decide to secure more funding for the project, and are successful in getting support from the Capital Community Foundation, London Bridge Business Improvement District, Cluttons Tower Bridge, and Awards for All. Thanks to them, the project will continue through 2008! After that, who knows! Towards the end of the year, our Board of Trust finalise the process of converting the Guy Fox History Project (a trust) into a Company Limited by Guarantee. In November we take the final step: Guy Fox History Project Limited, Registered Charity #1119898, Company Limited by Guarantee #6173274, is born!
