23rd March 2010: Happy Birthday, Guy Fox!

Staff and volunteers are celebrating the tenth anniversary of Guy Fox History Project. On 23rd March 2000, Kourtney Harper received a £2,000 grant from the Millennium Commission and the Guy Fox brand was born.

"As a small organisation, we are always focusing on 'What's Next'; this birthday is a nice opportunity to pause and remember all the people who have helped us in our work," says Scott Unwin, Development Officer. "During the past ten years, Guy Fox History Project has worked with over one thousand children in London, creating over 100,000 educational publications for children around the world. And we're still having just as much fun as we did when we started."

Plans are under way for an 'official' celebration on 5th November 2010.

30th November 2009: Guy Fox seeks partners for 'How the World REALLY Works.'

Following an overwhelming response to our Investment Banking book, Guy Fox is negotiating partnerships with leaders in other professions.

"When members of the business community read our new Investment Banking book, they understand how this project can achieve their community affairs objectives. This project engages businesses in the community, while educating children about work and raising their aspirations," says Kourtney Harper, Creative Director. "We've been pleased to receive queries from potential partners in lots of different sectors."

Although we have not yet confirmed a partner for the next book, our 'Wish List' includes law, management consulting, telecommunications, retail, media, engineering, architecture, and retail banking. 9th November 2009: Guy Fox launches 'How the World REALLY Works: Investment Banking.'

After six revisions and countless proofs, Guy Fox releases the first book in our new series exploring the world of work. 'How the World REALLY Works: Investment Banking' details the origins, role and functions of investment banking. Created in a collaboration among UBS staff, primary school children and the Guy Fox team, the book is a 68-page illustrated guide which will give children (and adults too!) a clear understanding of investment banking activities and terminology.
