Join Our Team!

All of our volunteers, trustees, members of staff, freelance contractors and work experience candidates must go through our four-step recruitment process:

  1. Complete an Application [Contact Us, and we'll send you one!]
  2. Have a chat with us about possible roles in the organisation (for staff recruitment, this takes the form of a good ole interview)
  3. Undergo a Criminal Records Bureau police check
  4. Attend child protection training and undergo a probationary period

There are no exceptions. No substitutions. No ifs, ands or buts. Full stop.

VOLUNTEERING OPPORTUNITIES: We need support from volunteers for quarterly mailouts, publication distribution, historical research, website maintenance, proofreading, database management, project steering committees, and sorting and counting donations from the fountain at Hay's Galleria.

BOARD OF TRUST: We are seeking two trustees to join our Board of Trust; we are especially looking for 'numbers' people, with experience in finance or business, who live or work in the local community. Please [Contact Us] for more details.

WORK EXPERIENCE OPPORTUNITIES: We offer two work experience placements per year to secondary school pupils, usually in June or July. It is a great opportunity to experience all aspects of the operation here at Guy Fox, from the administration of accounts and VAT returns to the design of publications and marketing materials, you will see first-hand what it takes to run a social enterprise. If you're interested, please [Contact Us]. We want to hear from YOU (not your Mum or Dad). Please note: Due to the popularity of this work experience placement, we suggest applying well in advance.

STAFF and FREELANCE OPPORTUNITIES: We have the following vacancies and ongoing opportunities for new talent.

Administrator: We're seeking an Administrator to tackle the daily operations of our organisation. The job includes: communicating with customers, funders and beneficiaries; updating databases; organising volunteers; undertaking CRB checksn; delivering to deadlines without constant supervision; completing VAT returns; maintaining accounts records; and yes, making tea when it's your turn.
This role would suit a recent graduate seeking experience in a social enterprise, who wants to learn all aspects of the daily operation. You should have a good sense of humour, immaculate attention to detail, superb verbal and written communication skills and be able to show leadership and learnership. If this describes YOU, please [Contact Us].

Creative Freelancers: We always look for new members of our team, for our design projects and to help us with our children's workshops. If you are an illustrator, designer, animator or writer, please [Contact Us]. Please note: DO NOT SEND WORK SAMPLES WITHOUT CONTACTING US FIRST.
